Jewel is an EFF agent and spouse of Blu. She is a main character, acting as one of the two assistant directors, the other being Spyro.

Fanfic

Jewel and Blu were introduced to the EFF when Tails came across the couple's nest in Rio. The couple declined the offer to join the EFF, as they wanted to stay in Rio and hang out with their friends. Tails gave them a paper pointing to where they could go to contact the EFF again if they ever changed their minds. After a few weeks, they decided to go to the location and found a portal. On the other side, Tails was waiting which made Blu jump. After a more in-depth explanation on what was expected in the EFF, Jewel instantly agreed to join, while Blu was reluctant; he was afraid of the scary things he'd face.

-Jewel is the deuteragonist of Rio. "The Gem of the forest" may be her pseudonym but don't let those long shiny eyelashes and silky light blue feathers fool you. She's one sassy chick with an attitude and the opposite personality, in most ways, of Blu. She loves to fly and cherishes her freedom, and would never look into a cage let alone to fly into one. When she finds herself stuck with a domesticated "pet," she learns that being grounded may not be so bad after all. Eventually, she learns to be more trusting, as it is shown when Tulio tends to her wing.She marries Blu after all of the chaos. During one of her flights with her husband, Blu, she met Dogkid. They are good friends to this day on.
